Wheel 101 Course

Building Big: A 4 Week Course [Evening]

Join us for a large scale hand building 4 week course with our amazing instructor Mimi Lanz! 

During this course, Mimi will guide you through various techniques to handbuild on a larger scale. Whether you’re new to ceramics or want to take your hand building skills to the next level, this workshop is for you!

Creating Functional Ware: An Intermediate Wheel Throwing 

$345 Per Person / Ages 16 +

6 Classes: Jan 22, 2025 – Feb 26, 2025

Join us for a 6 week class to build skills throwing on a pottery wheel!

This program focuses on creating functional ware. Marlon Marinero will guide you in 6 sessions to create pieces for a dinner set, including: bowls; plates; cups; saucers; and tumblers. Course instructor covers food safety and glazing.

This course is perfect for someone is confident in their wheel throwing abilities and now wants to grow their skills before moving to advanced courses.

Handbuilding for the Rituals of Daily Life [Evening]

Join us for a 6-week handbuilding course focused on creating meaningful pieces for everyday rituals and moments of pause. From the first sip of morning tea to evening candles, this class will guide you in making objects that turn daily routines into intentional practices. Start the new year by setting intentions in clay and crafting pieces that bring beauty, mindfulness, and presence into your home—or as thoughtful gifts for others. Think incense holders for quiet moments, candle holders for evening light, matcha bowls and mugs for daily comfort, altars for intention setting, boxes for keepsakes, and soap dishes for simple cleansing rituals. Over 6 weeks, our instructor will lead you step by step as you create work that supports reflection, grounding, and the rituals that shape our days.

Handbuilding Techniques : a 6 Week Course

6 Classes: Mar 18, 2025 – Apr 22, 2025

Join us for a 6-week handbuilding course! Over the course of 6 weeks you will be guided through your own handbuilding projects by the wonderful Liz Navarro. Liz will teach you various handbuilding techniques including slab building, coiling, pinch pots, and will also cover glaze techniques. Beginner friendly and also for those wanting to grow and improve!
