As the name suggests, NAPS is not (just!) another pottery studio. We’re offering memberships and classes that include firing, over 100 different brushable, dippable glazes and underglazes and providing as many different, fun tools as possible so your only additional expense should only ever be clay!
NAPS is also dedicated to providing the local North East Los Angeles (NELA) community with free and low cost arts events (beyond pottery) so that everyone has the opportunity to be a part of our space and discover their inner artist while connecting with others in our welcoming community.
We’ve crafted a quirky and beautiful studio that caters to both wheel throwers and handbuilders. Our space features brand new Shimpo Whisper wheels, custom-built sit-stand workbenches, and a glaze bar with over 100 different brushable glazes and underglazes. Each glaze is stored in glass jars with QR codes, making it easy to access information without messing up your phone. Whether you’re a seasoned potter or a beginner, our studio is designed to inspire creativity and comfort.
Kindness, cleanliness, creativity, and community are at the heart of NAPS. We welcome anyone who shares these values to join our studio. Our goal is to create a space where you feel welcomed, supported, and part of a fun and creative community. Beyond pottery, we are dedicated to providing free and low-cost arts events to the local NELA community. Through events, workshops, and partnerships with local organizations, we aim to make a positive impact and share the joy of pottery with everyone.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for rudeness, bigotry, theft, unsolicited critiques, and repeated failure to clean up after yourself. We believe that everyone should feel safe and respected in our studio, and we enforce this policy strictly to ensure a positive experience for all members.
